Musicians, bands, and live performers sought for Pioneer Days

Performers are who sought for the annual Lake City Pioneer Days festival on August 4. Unfortunately, there is no budget to pay them, so the Lake City Chamber is seeking local performers who are willing to entertain for free. "We have a stage and money for a sound man, a donated P.A. and some mikes, just no money to pay the performers," says organizer, Susan Park of the Jet City Maven.

The annual festival brings about 20,000 people annually to Lake City to the Pioneer Days give or take a few thousand for good or bad weather. In addition to a live entertainment stage are other events such as an auto show, two parades, and a salmon bake.

Performers may also set up a CD or tape for sale stand and even pass the hat for tips. If you are interested in performing, please call Susan Park at 440-9149.
